I was late, after just been told at an evaluation last week I'm often cutting it too short.

But like, when I took this job, it was in another city. Now I have twice the travel time. It sucks, I resent it, and the longer the trip, the more can go wrong. I'm willing to build in reasonable buffers, but at some point it just stops being reasonable.

:( That's really shitty. I don't blame you for resenting that--it seems like they ought to give you some sort of consideration there, especially if work starts early in the day/around rush hour.

No, I do the late shift, but like, the road there is one of the busiest roads - well, possibly in Europe. There's always traffic on there, both cars and cargo, accidents are frequent, and there is one tunnel that can get clogged. Also, there ARE roadworks going on right now, and the last part is close to the border (so it has all the summer holiday car tourism) - it's just a mess all in all.

And I'm bad a time management as it is.
