(Anonymous) 2016-08-02 12:04 am (UTC)(link)The hot lesbian scientist was so awesome. I actually liked Hemsworth a bit less than I'd expected to, based on the trailers, which I guess demonstrates that the trailers really were from the Mirror Universe. I loved his mid-credits scene, though.

And it's too bad you didn't appreciate Hemsworth as much as you thought you would, but at least his presence did something for you!

(I will admit, I kind of wish that she was hot bisexual scientist, but that doesn't mean she's not amazingly awesome the exact way she is and that I really, really hope that for the sequel Sony lets them give her a girlfriend. Or thirteen. Because she is THAT awesome)
ETA: Hemsworth was really cool... except for one last joke I have no idea why it was included. Other than that, I loved every single one of his scenes.

I would like to see more bisexual characters in general.
Uh oh. Hopefully the joke wasn't too offensive.

And the joke was not really offensive as much as it was unnecesary. For me it came a bit out of left field, mostly, and later while watching reviews I realized it was a moment that made a lot of people dislike a character. But it is not something inherently bad. (It's hard to explain without spoilers)

Huh... I wonder if the joke made the audience dislike Hemsworth's character? You said a character, so I don't know. If that was the only memorable misstep though, that's a positive.
