NAYRT

The hot lesbian scientist was so awesome. I actually liked Hemsworth a bit less than I'd expected to, based on the trailers, which I guess demonstrates that the trailers really were from the Mirror Universe. I loved his mid-credits scene, though.

I've heard nothing negative about hot lesbian scientist, so my expectations are high, but I think she can probably satisfy them. Hehe.

And it's too bad you didn't appreciate Hemsworth as much as you thought you would, but at least his presence did something for you!

There's nothing negative to be said about hot lesbian scientist except, maybe, that Sony didn't let them actually SAY that she's the hot lesbian scientist. Other than that, she is amazing.

(I will admit, I kind of wish that she was hot bisexual scientist, but that doesn't mean she's not amazingly awesome the exact way she is and that I really, really hope that for the sequel Sony lets them give her a girlfriend. Or thirteen. Because she is THAT awesome)

ETA: Hemsworth was really cool... except for one last joke I have no idea why it was included. Other than that, I loved every single one of his scenes.

I did hear about that! I think it's completely idiotic to not let the character (or even the actor talking about the character) come out and express her sexuality. I suppose they didn't want to drive away any potential viewers, but if the character is already obviously a lesbian... Why not just run with it, and not disappoint the people who do support it? Meh.

I would like to see more bisexual characters in general.

Uh oh. Hopefully the joke wasn't too offensive.

I thought she was bi (as she does flirt with Erin, but I swore she also looked at Hemsworth before he opened his mouth and proved he was not very bright), but I know I do wish for more bi characters so I might be biased. What it was pretty clear was that she flirted a LOT with the others, especially Erin. So yeah, it was absurd not to run with it.

And the joke was not really offensive as much as it was unnecesary. For me it came a bit out of left field, mostly, and later while watching reviews I realized it was a moment that made a lot of people dislike a character. But it is not something inherently bad. (It's hard to explain without spoilers)

Maybe she acknowledged his looks without really being attracted to him? It could be either one, but I would be fine with either too.

Huh... I wonder if the joke made the audience dislike Hemsworth's character? You said a character, so I don't know. If that was the only memorable misstep though, that's a positive.
