Helpful FS tips

Just a few things I've noticed:

1. "Inspired by #..." thread titles don't get a lot of hits, because nobody gives enough of a fuck to go back up and remind themselves what #x was. Make your title "Favorite character/headcanon/shortlived series" and then put an "inspired by in the body.

2. If you're an anon posting a link, give the link it's own line for easier copying.

3. DESCRIBE YOUR LINKS. Don't just drop something, ask us to look at it, and not give us an idea of what to expect.

Those are some good tips that I will use from now on

More tips: "gender thread" is an invitation not for fun wank, but for people complaining about how there's gonna be wank; ask more about RL things than fandom things in GC (generally); be friendly!

I prefer the "big topic" threads because I know where to look for the topic instead of having to scroll up and down to find separate threads. Gender, politics, etc
