I really hate when something is lost/destroyed needlessly and it's played off as a joke, or the character doesn't even notice.

Even if it's necessary, it's can still be a bit weird to have no reaction. A little thing that bugs me is when a character gets their phone smashed/thrown out a window etc because someone's tracking it or tapping it and I'm there like... surely there was important stuff on there? Even if it's no trouble at all to buy a new phone, surely it's still at least a bit of a problem to no longer have a phone in a crisis and to have to get a new number when you do get the new phone etc, but no one ever seems to regard this as inconvenient. Even when it's a character who isn't accustomed to being in situations where they'd expect to get their phone destroyed, they still don't really react.
