Wow, Penny Arcade (http://www.amazon.com/Attack-Bacon-Robots-Penny-Arcade/dp/1593074441/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207431976&sr=8-4), Real Life (http://www.amazon.com/Real-Life-Year-One-Collection/dp/0974696625/ref=pd_sim_b_title_3), Sinfest (http://www.amazon.com/Sinfest-Tatsuya-Ishida/dp/0972466304/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207432085&sr=1-1) and Megatokyo (http://www.amazon.com/Megatokyo-Vol-1-Fred-Gallagher/dp/1593071639/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207432068&sr=1-2) haven't been published?! Gee, guess these books don't really exist huh, seeing as webcomics never get published.

...But Megatokyo sucks...at least in my opinion ;-;

MT sucks, but that's a function of the law which states that 99% of everything is crap, and has nothing to do with its status as a webcomic OR a published comic.

Re: 44

[identity profile] wodhaund.livejournal.com 2008-04-05 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think so, too, but it's a webcomic, and it's published, so I tossed it in.

Also Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0545.html).

Yes~

And Ozy and Millie (http://www.ozyandmillie.org/), which I think is the best thing since Calvin and Hobbes.

And don't forget Girl Genius (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com), which actually went from being a print comic to a webcomic and still publishes collections. And brought us so many moments of pure awesome. How can you not love this (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20071126)?

Re: 44

[identity profile] popelizbet.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
And Octopus Pie (http://www.octopuspie.com), even.

Re: 44

[identity profile] wodhaund.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha, wow, I didn't know that one. It looks awesome!

I have Book One. (And since I preordered, I got a grumpy hipster cthulhu drawing in the front of mine, like I asked for, and I love it.)

The webcomic is great, the book is awesome. :)

You can add Nodwick (http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/index.htm) and PS238 (http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/ps238/) to that list.

<3s to the person who used the same counter example as I did~

ad nauseum

[identity profile] lady-laguna.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
We could sit here all day listing webcomics that have made it to print, as well as companies that look to webcomics as a way to hunt down new talent.

It would conserve time to simply say that OP is a troll/wrong/an idiot/an asshole/etc.

Re: ad nauseum

[identity profile] wodhaund.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
We could, but doing it this way also allows us to plug favourites and possibly introduce people to new ones they might not know.

Personally, I consider that a bonus.

But Penny Arcade and Megatokyo suck.

Seriously "O LOLOLOL ITZ A VEEDEOO GAEM KOMIK, DAT MAEKS IT WURTH REEDIN LOLOLOL" and "WEEABOO WHO IS HORRIBLE WITH GIRLS AND GOOD AT DRAWING LIVES IN JAPAN WITH HIS BEST FRIEND WHO IS ALSO A -L337 NINJA- OH WOW, WATCH THE MONEY ROLL IN".

Could've thought of better examples there, chief.

Re: 44

[identity profile] wodhaund.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, they were the first ones that popped into my head that I knew were published. Sinfest is good, though, mihi.

Re: 44

[identity profile] meagenimage.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
If they're so bad, how come you can just walk into any comic store and buy a copy?
