Have no fear, I am actually pretty damn fond of published comics by non-hacks. It was more in effort to make a point about the money!=capitalism thing. Sorry about that.

Sorry, I'm so used to the people who argue webcomics > published comics actually acting like Land and Liefield are the norm for the comics industry. Yes, they suck. Most brick-n-mortar comic fans I know think Land and Liefield suck too, though.

(Also, you just have to find the right comic shop. My shopguys won't let anyone hassle a chick just because she's a chick. It comes from being run by a married man, a gay guy and the most metrosexual army dude I have ever met, though.)
