1. Man, I remember playing the demos and always being sad when they were done because I didn't have the money at the time to buy the full game.

15. Totally agree. What about the final fight? I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time. (Or the magnificent ending!)

29. HOGFATHER! I'm on such a Pratchett kick right now. And I can't really think of Teatime ending up with anyone (he freaks me out just a little too much.)

44. I've seen comics having a great split in it for a long time now, and the web recently added another split to it.

You have comics like DC or Marvel or Vertigo (or others) who release their comics in an issue-style, and it's very difficult to pick up an issue and read it as stand-alone. Then you have the comics that are in the Newspaper, which are significantly shorter because of space restrictions and short attention spans. I think that webcomics are somewhere in between.

Also, some of the content in webcomics is not the sort of thing that a newspaper will pick up. This doesn't mean it's bad, it means it needs to find a different audience.

To use a clichéd metaphor, it's like comparing apples to oranges. (Or maybe apples to oranges to kiwi.) All these are forms of comics, but it doesn't mean they're the same thing. And of course, not all forms will necessarily appeal to everyone.

55. Good lord, am I the only Creative Writing major who had professors who were impressed that I wrote fanfic? They look at it like writing excersizes, and didn't have issues with it as long as we only did it for fun.

I'm getting back into writing fan fiction so I can have fun writing again. I think that sometimes you need to do things for yourself and not worry about if the piece you're working on is going to get published or not.

Seriously, don't be ashamed. Think of it as practice.
