Route 666
I don't usually like horror. I have a mild curiosity to see what's going on from movie trailers but if I actually watch or read something, I don't enjoy it. Same with suspense. I only ever watch horror for the supernatural element but I can do without scares.

I read Route 666 to be a completionist but I really loved it. It hit my id and I liked the characters. I also became invested in the mystery of what the monsters were doing stealing souls and watching Cassie's powers grow.

I'm also not a huge fan of the Cold War era but I liked seeing how they made an AU of a Cold War world - where it was the same but not quite. The whole thing was very entertaining.
