I hate that. We had someone on a group I was in complain that we'd posted a story for a book that had come out five years ago. WTF? He was in the group.

I think some of it might be people not really understanding how discussion groups are supposed to work. Which is why I miss actual discussion groups. (Although if they mentioned OoTP spoilers, that does imply experience, so maybe they're just weird. Especially if they broke up a friendship over it!)

Also, if someone says "spoilers" and there's a space, you look away. I don't see what difference a cellphone would make?
