I assume (which may be wrong of me) that most of the fics I enjoy are written by those to the left of the political spectrum. I'm a Republican. (YIKES!) So if I limited myself to those who won't vote Hillary I'd be in for a long, dry spell. I'd rather not read too much political advocacy from the authors but they have every right to express themselves through their fics and through their blogs/social media. I've never held it against any author.

Yup, me too. Though if the politics bleeds into the fic too much I back-button out of there. I hear enough ranting about how eeeevil gun owners are in just regular media. I don't need it in the stuff I consume for light and fluffy fun.
