Y'all, one of my fics passed 6,000 hits! I know that may not seem like much to some people, but when you consider it's a slash fic for a fandom that's all about its canon het couple (Castle) and my next most-clicked fic has 751, I'm pretty happy about it.

Congrats!! Always feels great to hit a personal AO3 milestone.

Do you tag extensively for content? That's helped me get more hits from people outside the fandom.

Yeah, it felt a little weird tagging types of sex but I guess it helps.

Yeah, it does feel kinda weird. LOL. But in my experience posting fic on AO3, lots of readers surf content tags and don't really care what fandom/ship they're reading as long as it scratches whatever smutty itch they're feeling.

I do this! My favorite tag that I frequently check is 99% Supernatural, Sherlock, Marvel and random anime stuff I'm not familiar with, so it's always really exciting when I find something other than one of those. (I don't care about the fandom as long as it's not one of those, they just annoy me.)

YES!!! They get a little love from fandom, but I've never seen a fandom more head over heels for the canon couple.

GOD i wish there was more out there for Ryan and Esposito, who, *clearly*, are the best characters on that show :D would you mind linking the fic???

When Ryan is hurt on the job, Esposito is forced to re-evaluate where they've been and where they're going. Mostly set after the season five premiere, with Beckett and Esposito back from suspension.
