Re: What's your biggest regret?

Not appreciating my paternal grandparents more while they were still alive. They both died when I was 17 and I had just barely a year earlier started getting interested in family history and heritage. They lived several states away and weren't tech people so we communicated by letters and they were very pleased when I started writing to them more and asking about family stuff, but they died just as I felt like I was just starting to learn something about them as people rather than just grandparents who gave me candy and stuff. There are so many things about our family history I'll never know now and I'll never get a chance to speak Yiddish with them or get to really know them as individuals.
