I have a turtle. She's nearly 25 years old.

I'm definitely not ever doing another reptile or other animal that lives a long time (so no parrots, either). I'd love to have a dog, but my life right now isn't one that can handle a pet that can't be left alone for a week on a frequent basis (which a turtle, set up with an automatic feeder and a light timer, can be).
