Didn't something of the sort happen in Shadowhunters? I've only watched the show and kind of zoned out towards the end due to it being terrible.

I know in the books the female protagonist is in love with the male protagonist and they think they're related (they're not).
Then some bad guy molests the female protagonist and reveals they're related.

CClare is obsessed with creepy incest.
