Thanks! and yeah pretty much.

Different conflicts for each person as well as disapproval from others. The girl has been shamed, the ace guy has been shamed and made fun of, and the pan guy has been assumed to be a cheater (ad well as the girl). They've all had to stress at some point that the setup is agreed upon between all of them and consensual, and no one else's business but there's.

Between each other they've faced issues early on, like the pan guy being conflicted about his interest but is surprised when his best friend just says "okay why don't you just ask her. She'll probably be into it too." There's been a bit of friction between the girl and the ace guy as she comes to understand his asexuality more. She's gotten annoyed when people spread rumors that the pan guy and the ace guy are secretly gay for each other and she's just a beard.

Various external and internal conflicts that get worked out by the end of the day- or week in some cases.

Since it sounds like it's present day, do their families know? How do they plan to navigate the legal aspect / do any of them plan on marrying? Would children (adopted or otherwise) come into the picture?

Yeah. There parents are okay with it/have accepted it. I think the ace guy is legally engaged/married to the girl and the pan guy is their roommate/sort of a friend with benefits. Possibly adopted I'd think, but at the present moment I see them finishing college before that happens.
