Guy hung around a lot, came to see me and invited be to join a couple clubs he was in. Guy asked me to the movies and I asked who would be going with us. He said it would be just the two of us and showed up at my dorm to get me, then paid for my ticket. I thanked him for paying my way and said I had fun. Guy called me a few times and said things like the sunset "reminded me of you".

Guy then asked me to go with him to a banquet ceremony-thing for his fraternity and we went. In the car on the way he said "thanks honey" when I pointed out the car door was still open - I was surprised, but shrugged it off. I was surprised when he paid for my food and thanked him after he dropped me off back at my room. Guy calls me while his family is visiting and tries very hard to get me to come meet his family - but I could hear a dog in the background and I'm terrified of them, so I said as much and also that I didn't want to intrude on a family visit.

Guy never came around again.

Three years later it clicks that I may have possibly sort-of been dating the dude? I had no idea and am still not sure if I'm reading into things. No hand holding, no kissing attempts, no "do you want to go on a date" no "I like you a lot, would you like to be dating" ever happened...but. I just thought all the hanging out was as friends.
