The secret is that I think this critique is wrong and the show is unfairly judged regarding this particular aspect. The wording is no different from secret 6 or 7.

Actually both 6 and 7 have 'I' statements in them ('It annoys me...' and '... it annoyed me...'). If you added 'I believe' or 'I think' to the beginning of your statement, it would then work. See 1 in the Clarification on secrets post (http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/57139).

I think this is silly. In secrets like #2, the "I" is implicit, and it's obvious it's an opinion. Nobody's going to confuse a statement like "Pizza is yucky" for a fact just because it's not written as "I think pizza is yucky".
