If you want other cool experiences out of Stockholm, check out doing an overnight cruise to either Helsinki, Finland or Riga, Latvia. I did both of these and it was a really awesome way to travel. This way you travel by boat so you don't waste much day time and instead of a hotel, you're on a boat.

We left Helsinki around 5 and landed in Stockholm around 10 in the morning and we left Stockholm about the same time and I think we got to Riga around 11 AM. The ship from Helsinki to Stockholm was much larger and much nicer but it had a little bit of everything.
