I knew this young man when he was a little boy in the foster care system:

My roommate was a "group parent" in the boys'group foster home, and she used to bring him over to our house to play in our yard, jump on our big trampoline, etc. after school. He was a cute, squirrelly little kid, around 8-9 years old at the time, lots of energy, and my roommate was very fond of him.

What a hard, brief life he had, and what a sad and senseless way to die.
