PS: I HATE HATE HATE Steve/Tony. And it's exactly because this trope is so overused in Stony fanfic. More than half of the fics in the Pepper/Tony tag on Ao3 are really Stony fics that use it to get Pepper out of the way in the first chapter. Makes me wonder if they're going out of their way to abuse the Pepper/Tony tag just to be rude little shits.
