26) I saw the movie first, too, and then my parents got me the book for Christmas and I was like "WAIT NO TOO THICK DO NOT WANT". But then I read it and it was just as awesome as the movie, if much longer and quite a bit different.

OMG YES. I got assigned the book in 6th grade, actually after I'd seen some of the movie (It kept looping on HBO and I always caught the 2nd half). I thought it was gonna be stupid considering the title (I think I thought it was "The Princess Diaries" which I had no real wish to read) but then I realized what it was and was like, OMG WIN. The format of it is HILARIOUS, Goldman's a brilliant comedic writer, and I don't know whether I like the book or the movie more.

In conclusion, OMFG YOU MUST READ THIS. READ OR DIE. FOR SRSLY.

Well, before you think poorly of the Twilight readers, just know there is another ship in the canon. Doomed, though it may be, it is definitely a more realistic/healthy relationship than the one that Stephenie Meyer force feeds her readers. Even her main character chose the healthy relationship, but Meyer denied Bella's wishes and shoved her over to Edward for the sake of the Mary Sue fic she was writing.
