Believe it or not, the entire world doesn't revolve around you. People keep their journals for themselves as much as for their audience.

If you don't want to read about that stuff, defriend the people who write about it. Take control of your own LJ experience and stop expecting people to cater to you. That's called being a grown up.

Agreed so hard. It's easily-annoyed, incapable-of-scrolling people like these that make me afraid to even post the slightest personal post if some people friended me for art or fics or stuff.

True, but eh. If they want to friend me, they can just as easily scroll by stuff they're not interested in. I don't see why I should cater to delicate sensibilities as long as I don't post four times/day to help ease flist clutter.

I mean, I don't post about smegma or have a 'smegma etc filter', but still. xD;

My friend told me interesting stories about how if someone can't pass gas and feces, she explained the procedures she had to take as a nurse. I was like OHhhhh AHhhhhh. >: While my guy friends were all OMFG THAT IS SO GROSS.
