Why the hell would anyone read a manga if they hate the main characters, anyway?

I realize there's KuroFai, but that gets boring after a while.

Because they like other characters? I'm more likely to feel indifferent towards the main character(s) than like or hate them. Besides, in Tsubasa, they don't always focus entirely on Syaoran and Sakura anyway.

I read FMA even though Ed bores me to tears.

I read Naruto off and on even though I could care less about every character unless they're a) Shino or Kiba or b) involved in hot yuri sex.

I read Bleach even though Ichigo bores me and I detest most of fandom's pet characters.

I just don't bitch about it like some people do when my favorite characters don't get a lot of page time.

Actually, a lot of people learn to live with their favorite characters not getting page time.

I wouldn't expect anyone to bitch about their favorite characters not getting page time if their favorite characters aren't the main ones. It only makes sense that the main people the story is revolved around get the most time.
