*fistbumps back* I came fairly late to Hammer Horror, but once I did I fell absolutely head over heels for Cushing, particularly as Van Helsing. I do like him a bit better as the hero, as compelling his more villainous turn as Frankenstein is. He's got this fierce, quiet righteousness about him.

I didn't watch them until I was an adult either, but I really enjoy his Van Helsing. You're right, there's something about his reserved determination and fierceness as a character.
