Yes to Phantom, although I'd almost be tempted to leave Raoul as, well, Raoul rather than whatever his name might be changed to. Playing with the gender dynamics in general would be fun. But then, I'm all for gender-flipping every Beauty and the Beast story, since I always emphasize with the Beast and then get sad because, well, women never get "beauty is found within" stories where hot guys fall for ugly girls unless said girls lose half their body weight and have a makeover before the guy goes "oh wow, I guess you were beautiful all along, but you had to be beautiful on the outside before I noticed." :-(
