Oh, for fuck's sake, Cate Blanchett is forty-seven. She's not old. Just because Hollywood likes to pretend that (most) women over the age of 35 have one foot in the grave, doesn't mean that we have to play along with it.

why is this weird? people ship people. shipping people outside of their actual (or canon) sexual preferences for extra tension ("You're the only one!") is nothing new at all.
