What made you jump ship?

I had been slowly losing my enjoyment for OUAT, but once adult characters started whining about getting "their happy ending", I noped the fuck out of there.

Just losing interest in a show. I can't think of ship where I flipped on enjoyment of it.

The author introducing a side character love interest that was somehow (in my opinion) better suited for my fave than the main character (who was my other favorite). I was really shocked, but went with it. I liked the main character with his canon love interest anyway.

hordes of terrible, entitled shippers who won't stop tweeting the actors and accusing them of queerbaiting whenever their characters make eye contact on screen without declaring their love for each other

With shows, it's usually a case of "I have too much to watch and need to cut something, what am I enjoying the least" rather than One Outrageous Thing that makes me drop it (with the exception of the Originals, which I stopped once Cami died because I loved her and that was some bullshit.)

If I stop watching a show it's nothing more than me simply loosing interest and not caring about keeping up with it anymore, I might lament wasted potential if I felt that it had any, but most of the time I just can't be assed anymore.

I've never actually fallen out of love with a ship though, there's plenty I don't ship with as much intensity as I used to but I still love them.

Got tired of the show about the same time LiveJournal started tanking and ppl left for Facebook/Tumblr/etc.

The mythology had gotten too complicated for me to follow, and I'd thought a changeover in the lead characters meant they were going to wipe the slate clean, at east to some extent, but the season opener introduced even more stuff to the mythology and made it clear there was to be no slate-cleaning, so I bailed and came back at the end of the season for the series finale.

When my fandom shrank and shrank, and one day I realized that the only people left were all writing the same. Bloody. Boring. Fluff. for the juggernaut whitecock pairing.

the stupid, overly dramatic mako-korra-bolin love triangle made me abandon LoK before it even started properly

I came back to see the final season and thank god for Korrasami

BBT: The repetition and the lack of actual physiscs humor. When it started being just about nerds and their girlfriends and not about scientist nerds without girlfriends.
