If you sacrifice yourself for the greater good then you are a good person. If a guy who was an asshole ended up infiltrating ISIS and died to ensure that ISIS would be defeated then I think most rational people would acknowledge he was a good person at the end.

"Greater good" is literally more subjective than anything else in this thread dude. I'm sure Bellatrix and Umbridge felt they were working for the greater good too. Extremists might feel taking down ISIS is a bad thing. Etc.
