The English Patient. It was like three hours of nothing happening. All the main characters were unlikable assholes. The only thing it had going for it was the visuals and Lawrence of Arabia did it better.

I read the book, and I sort of see where there were going. I like the book quite a lot. A lot of it is atmosphere, and it focuses deeper on feeling lost/out of place. It also makes the characters more like-able because you know their thoughts (the book changes perspectives).

But yeah, in the film a lot of that got lost.

Thank yoooooou. I watched that film drunk and sober and it still made no sense to me. I hated it.
