I feel like if I'm not open to participating, that I might be indirectly judging the program itself or the people who do go. I know that they aim to be inclusive. I think it's nice that they have so many things that everyone can do. I just have a very low tolerance for being treated like a child or praised for doing easy things, and I'm already dealing with a lot of people thinking it's okay to bend down and talk to me like I'm an idiot or clapping if I manage to open a door on my own.
