But let's admit that some crafts, baking projects and musical events are childish, especially when they're organized by other people who underestimate the ability levels of the participants.

Example: someone who has been making handblown glass or weaving with their own handspun yarn is not going to be enthused about being invited to make decorative pencil holders by wrapping colored string around a jar.
