(Anonymous) 2016-08-14 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)iirc, though, the outrage over the Star Trek reboot came after people had watched the film and (some of them) said, "This really doesn't feel like Star Trek to me." Whereas the outrage over the Ghostbusters reboot came as soon as it was announced that it would have an all-female team, long before the film was even made.
