Re: What would you make illegal if you had the power?

I also disagree, and I'm not a cyclist. The risk to pedestrians from cyclists on sidewalks is much less than the risk to a cyclist on a street with cars.

Either have bike lanes, or else, cyclists should be on the sidewalk. It is NOT safe for bicycles on city roads and as a driver, it's obnoxious as fuck to try to dodge them - and I can't even blame them, what are they supposed to do? They should be on the sidewalk, and either ring bells or say excuse me when behind people, and not rushing past.

I'm not a cyclist either, but I know that you're wrong. It's actually more dangerous for a bicycle to be on a sidewalk than on the street.

If you knew your laws, bikes are allowed to take a lane in the street.

yeah no. There's no possible way it's safer to bike on the streets in a city with busy traffic vs on a sidewalk.

If you're a cyclist, and riding on sidewalks, and NOT going to every city council meeting to yell at your government to build an actual infrastructure for bicyclists, you really should be.

Why are you responding to my comment? I just said I'm not a cyclist.
