I just hated how this plot line from Marvel really killed the chances of DC's Rebirth to actually make sales.

*sighs* DC has been really having a shitty year in 2016...

I'm hoping that's sarcasm because rebirth is killing Marvel. They're outselling Civil War 2 and have been in 9 out of 10 of the top 10 sales for the last two months.

Same anon; here's the stats for July:

Rebirth is killing it.

Oh, please. If anything kills DC's Rebirth, it'll be DC's own shitty in-house decisions, both past and present.

I don't see how marvel is exempt from this rule given their history of EVENTS OF HEROES VS HEROES. And that doesn't change the fact that rebirth is killing marvel in sales right now. They only have four comics and three titles in the top 25: civil war in the top 15, Star Wars at 23, and amazing spider-man at 25. Fucking Aquaman 2 and 3 outsold Captain America with its manufactured controversy.

And mind you, DC comics sell at a lower price. Marvel killed themselves by pulling ANAD marvel twice in one year and making an event no one asked for.

I don't see why you're construing the comment you're responding to as an either/or statement. If DC's sales tank, it's (at least in part) because of some very shitty decisions they've made; this is true. If Marvel's sales tank, it's (at least in part) because of some very shitty decisions they've made; this is also true.

Because the Anon I was replying to made it sound like DC rebirth was doing bad. When sales indicate otherwise. That's all. DC and marvel can crash and burn due to a number of shitty in house decisions that both companies have a history of making. But atm marvel isn't doing so hot and DC is doing pretty well for themselves.

And nowwwww I realize my confusion and where I messed up. I misread the anon I was reply to as if they were replying to my statement and not the OP's statement. Holy shit bad eye sight did me in.

Ah, that makes sense! Yeah, the comment in question would read very differently if that had been the case.
