Nobody likes being misidentified. Maybe one person's hard is different than your hard, but in the end, for each of us, hard is hard. Getting huffy because "my hard is harder than your hard!!" just makes you look like a child.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
And acting like the existence of people who meet the stereotype you're so fucking loathed to be misidentified as are at fault for your misidentification is even more childish.

And seriously: If you think its bad to be mistaken for gay based on neutral identifiers, I'm gonna assume you're homophobic.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it's bad. I think it's frustrating to be constantly identified as something you're not.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh sure, I wouldn't mind at all if I were mistaken for being gay. I wouldn't mind at all if someone killed me because they mistook me for gay and wanted to kill a gay person, as real homophobes often do. My life isn't as important as making sure I don't look homophobic by not wanting to be mistaken for gay!

1. implying that "real homohpobia" only exists in the form of killing gay people. "I'm not an active member of the KKK so how could I be racist?"
2. implying that having short hair is akin to the fear I feel whenever I do so much as hold my girlfriend's hand in public.

I love the smell of victim blaming in the morning!

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
How do you get victim blaming out of that?

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
yeah only -real- lesbians deserve to die from hate crimes, not an innocent str8 like me!

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
holy fuck, don't throw o=your back out with all that reaching.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 05:57 am (UTC)(link)

Maybe you should concentrate on addressing homophobia instead of blaming gay people for murders. Just a thought. (Also, how many straight people have been murdered because people thought they were gay vs actual hate crimes? Just wanting to get some stats here.)

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
except in this case, straight people don't even -have- a "hard"

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Way to spectacularly miss the point.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
maybe because you don't have one sweaty :)

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Or because you were too stupid to get it.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
straight people have it hard :(

(Anonymous) 2016-08-16 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Hard isn't relative. On an individual level, it just is. I'm sorry you're too narrow-minded to see it.
