It sounds to me like the time isn't right but obviously that's not my call. I couldn't have done it though under those circumstances. My mother is sick but she always has been and they can afford to fly me home if she gets really bad. And we never got along until I moved to the other side of the world so I don't have the same emotional investment in my family that others seem to.

The time is never right, though.The problem is I can linger here for 2 more years in a shitty job, just to finish my acting thing and see how my dad goes...and 2 years down the line the acting thing might have gone nowhere, and my dad might be in remission for the 4th time and I'm still at a status quo.

Thing with this job is that I actually know someone there who might get me in.

I feel like it's a 60% yes, it's just a hassle, and I'm bad with dealing with that.

I hope you can find whatever it is you need to make a decision! It's definitely worth the hassle, imho. I've never been so happy in my life and wish I had done it sooner. I spent 15 years on what ifs, so I get what you mean about the time never being right.
