Generally, when I read (or read and listen) multiple things at once I try to read ones that are not a lot like each other.

These books aren't really like each other at all.

The only time I've ever had book-merge was two books for different classes - you'd think H.D.'s poetry and Rod Serling's teleplays would be distinct enough not to have any crossover, and you'd be wrong.

I can't do it. I only read for pleasure and immerse myself in it, so I can't divide my attention between multiple books. Oddly, I can read as much fanfic alongside it as I like. But if I read a book series that really resonates with me, I have to wait a few days to get it out of my mind before I can read anything else without getting it tangled up in my mind.

sold times I read two books at a time (I guessed I picked it up during school required reading/leisure reading), but I try not to.

That mix up generally occurs when I do it with fic, and it sometimes makes for an awesome plot mashup that never occurred lol

I am always reading more than one book at a time but I probably have one like, primary book that gets read faster.

There are people that don't read more than one book at once? I'm reading two books at the moment, plus a bunch of fic; I'd be reading more if I didn't also have a ton of reading for school. I never have trouble keeping things straight.

I read multiple books in parallel and have no trouble either, but if they started to give me crossover ideas I would be rather charmed.

I envy people who can text and walk at the same time...so yeah.
