I'd try it too. I've already had horse and it makes me sad horse meat is illegal in the US because it's really delicious. I think it's stupid to outlaw the consumption of things like that just because some people have moral objections to it. You don't have to eat it if you don't like it, but that doesn't give you the right to say that no one else can eat it either.

Yeah, horses are one herbivorous creature that's a big no for me. :cough:

Horse meat is illegal in the US? Really? I thought there'd just be no demand for it. And of course it's illegal to sell something as beef but really it's horse.

What? It's actually illegal? Huh. That sucks, and I'm a vegetarian who never plans to eat meat ever again if I can help it. I love horses, but it's not like pigs aren't smarter.

It's illegal because of US's inhumane treatment of slaughterhouse animals. Apparently pigs and chickens are ok but horses are where they draw the line.

But that is to say horsemeat doesn't happen. The horses that do go to slaughterhouses go through Mexico where they get labeled as something different ("filler meat") and are then shipped back to the US. You've probably eaten horse meat more times than you know.
