Assisted suicide as a subject of films goes way further back than the 80s.

I think it would bother me less if there was more variety in how disabled characters are portrayed. It seems to be either snuff films or inspiration porn that's supposed to make "normal" people feel better about their own lives. Disability and illness are part of normal life though. I guess people feel like if they make other kinds of movies with disabled leads, the characters won't be relatable? It's easier for writers to make an audience feel sympathy than empathy. It's just lazy.

Oh thank you! I remember seeing this trailer before but I haven't had a chance to see the movie.

It looks similar to You're Not You which I enjoyed.
