One time, I read a story in which a character I'm really attached to was written as a crying, woobified "uke" (for lack of a better word) who let himself get pushed around by people he would NEVER let push him around in canon. I noped out of there so fast I thought I was going to crash my browser.

I guess you can say one of my major my squicks/hates is completely butchering a character I'm "close" to.

OMG YES. I don't even have to be super-close to the character, just - black-hole OOCness makes me want to kick something.
