You sound misogynist to be honest.

OP. I'm female. I loved the girl character. I recently read NOS4A2, whose main character is a woman. I loved her. Probably one of my favorite characters ever. But hey, you do you.

YES!

N0S4A2 had a great female lead. I loved her and also her baby daddy. Manx himself was the disappointment.

I'm interested to see what AMC does with their adaptation.

WHAT? I listened to this book a couple months ago and loved it. THEY ARE ADAPTING IT?

Have you read the book and are you calling OP misogynist because you disagree with the assessment of the characters, or are you just calling OP misogynist because they don't like the two characters?

FWIW, I read the book, and while it was interesting, I didn't really like it. Part of it is the characters, and part of it was the resolution of the story, which I really didn't like. Wouldn't say the book wasn't good, but just that I didn't like it. However, would agree with OP that those two characters did seem to lack some common-sense survival instincts.
