I feel like there are 2 basic scenarios here

1) perhaps because it's so personal to you, you're literally incapable of imagining someone who has a healthy distinction between what they find hot and what they find good, and blame other people for your own inability to compartmentalize

and/or

2) you are making good faith efforts not to see shit you don't like, and the people who like HTP *AND* ignore your boundaries in ways that result in you knowing they like it anyway tend to creep you out, because ignoring boundaries is an inherently creep behavior

but there are people who like HTP stuff and respect your boundaries and don't bring it up around you. they don't creep you out bc they're not creepy, but you don't realize they're into the thing, so you don't know non-creepy people sometimes like it

also I'm pretty sure everyone who considers themselves HTP likes some things and not others - all the things you listed squick me out, but there's other things under the HTP umbrella that I do like
