Yeah, I don't like HTP because it is unrealistic. There is no reason why they would harm a weapon like that. Not only would it serve no purpose, it may actually harm the Winter Soldier and prevent him from doing his job.

It doesn't seem like they ever did anything personal with him. He was either frozen or on a job. Also, he isn't the wilting flower that people make him out to be. He is obviously used to leading a squad and I highly doubt the upper management would undermine his authority by gangbanging him.
