Those are critics. And if a bunch of critics enjoy it, it might not be dogshit.

If a bunch of critics enjoy it, it is probably dogshit.

Critics are a bunch of stupid jackasses, for the most part.

Roger Ebert, arguably the most influential critic of modern times, thought Alien was horse manure and should never get a sequel, and The Women (2008 version) was "charming". The Women. Let that sink in.

Other critics (multiple) also hated Blade Runner (ehh fine... YMMV), Fight Club, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Shining.

Point is, critics ain't shit.

I mean, more then critics not being shit: critics are just individuals with their own likes, dislikes, and biases, just like everyone else. There is no reason, imo, to value a critic's opinion over like, your buddy who goes to the movies a lot. Its all just opinions and tastes.

Same guy thought "Never Say Never Again" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" were good.

Pauline Kael was no different either, as she thought "The Exorcist II: The Heretic" was good.
