Random thought only MGS fans will care about

Sitting around, listening to MGS music and getting all nostalgic, when I come across fanmixes that edit the main theme into music from Portable Ops, Peace Walker, and TPP. And it just feels wrong, somehow.

Then, listening to the theme from MGS3 again, I think I get it: the Main Theme is a dirge for the Boss, the heroic patriot, and a celebration of the man who inherits her true Will (Solid Snake).

It doesn't play for Big Boss. He's a legendary soldier, but he was never a hero.
