They are a special brand of lolarious. I think it's because it's before the days of twitter, so you have hundreds and hundreds of bizarre posed pics of them from various magazine shoots, promos, etc.

I have lots of these too, and they're super great because they often try to do Scully pics but make them "sexy" and poor Gillian Anderson is always sliding out of these enormous model-sized high heels!
