That's basically how I deal with batshit shippers (and the ship wars, and yes, there are two, Sam/Dean vs Dean/Sam is a ship war) in the Supernatural fandom.

If a fandom is just way too much for me I avoid it and only read fic and reblog art/gifsets from more neutral fandom blogs.

Except people tag their ship hate in the Sheith tag.

I've talked to a few people and apparently it's gotten really, really bad. One person described the tag as a "shitshow".

I don't even ship anything in Voltron, but I have searched Sheith on tumblr out of morbid curiosity after hearing so many horror stories of Klance shippers being assholes in the tag and it was a mess of anti-Sheith posts everywhere. I've even seen antis essentially respond with "lol fuck off, survivors come before enjoying your pedophilic ship" whenever someone asks them to stop attacking people/not tag their ship hate. It's seriously SU fandom levels of shit.

Block "pedo*" and most of the wanky posts disappear. Then blog the shitposters that slip through.

I blacklisted 'pedo', 'pedoph*' and 'underage' on tumblr and my fandom experience got a great deal better.

I decided against 'pedo*' because it might get pedometer.
