Little things that make you happy
Some of mine:
*Being able to pull through a parking spot into the spot on the other side of the line
*Getting to the grocery store right after they've restocked all the shelves
*Catching your pet doing something adorable but rare, right at the time when your phone is at hand
*Good hair days
*Good face days
*Discovering that a new item of clothing you bought with little excitement has now become your favorite
*Biting into an apple and being surprised by how crisp and flavorful it is
*That horrible task you were dreading to do? Turns out you don't need to do it after all! (Bonus happiness if someone knew you dreaded it, so they did it for you just to help you out.)

Mine:
- That feeling when you've finished tidying and cleaning your room/house/apartment and everything is spick and span
- Finding money in your purse you had forgotten you had

*no fucking traffic on the way home from work

(Anonymous) 2016-08-21 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)* Not having to stand in line at the grocery store because there are plenty of open checkouts
* Getting coffee and it's perfectly made and delicious
* Ordering something online and it's better than expected on arrival
* Good dental checkups with nothing wrong
* Mall Santas that are old fat guys with real beards
Re: Little things that make you happy
How about:
Putting on clothes fresh from the dryer
Driving home from work and hitting all the green lights
Forgetting to feed the meter only to find someone has put 20 minutes on it for you (this happened to me once; it was very sweet!)
Someone you look up to at work praising your work
Greeting your dogs after not seeing them for a long time (and seeing how excited they are to see you)
Drinking a glass of cold water after being thirsty for a while

Noticing that my face looks much better after using a face scrub on it.
Finding a pair of sock with no holes in them.
Buying something you've wanted for years, yet never had the chance to buy.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-22 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)That feeling of mellowness experienced on the way home from the gym after a workout.
When a business or church or the like puts up a funny pun on their sign.
When procrastination pays off and it turns out to be a good thing you hadn't done that thing you supposedly needed to do yet.
