Parody Characters who are better than the canon version

Are there any fan or mainstream parody versions of characters you prefer over the real thing? I'll make no bones that I prefer Chuck from SfDebris' version of Janeway over the one written by the Star Trek Voyager writers. APart from anything else, he makes the canon actions actually make sense once you think of Janeway as a bipolar, psychotic, drug addict who likes screwing with people and shooting stuff.

I prefer the Teamfourstar Nappa (and the relationship between Nappa and Vegeta) more than the canon version. It is so fucking interesting and funny.

As someone who watched some DBZ as a kid but not a lot: I honestly think I like all of the cast better in Teamfourstar DBZA.

But I can just feel my stepbrothers a state away disowning me for liking idiot Goku. And god knows what they'd say about Vegeta...
