When I ship two (or more) characters, I'm not trying to figure out who is going to be together when the canon close it so I can ship that, I'm reacting to the dynamics of the characters as they are presented.

Certain dynamics appeal to me more then others. (Friends turned enemies who still kinda wanna bang? I am SO THERE. Rivals/enemies without that history? Meh.)

There are plenty of times when it's pretty obvious, from the pilot, who the writers are planning on being together in the finale. But if I like a different pairing, I'm going to ship that instead.

What I expect to be endgame has nothing to do with who I ship.
